GEORGE HAPISU, FIHRM

George Hapisu is a Partner and East Africa Advisory Human Capital Consulting Leader at Deloitte where he is responsible for leading Human Capital teams in 6 countries including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Ethiopia. Previously, George was a Director and Human Capital Consulting Country Leader for Kenya at Deloitte for a period of 3 years. Prior to joining Deloitte, George worked in the advisory consulting division of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Kenya where he was HR Consulting Leader/People&ChangeDirector.

George has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources Management and Development gained in industry and professional services organisations. He has led engagements in areas of Organisation Transformation and Talent (OTT), Actuarial, Reward and Analytics (ARA) and Human Resource Transformation (HRT) for clients both in public and private sectors in many Africa markets.

He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Nairobi, Kenya, and a Post graduate diploma in Human Resources Management from the Institute of Human Resources Management among other qualifications. He is an alumnus of Gordon Institute of Business Science Business Leadership Programme from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. George is also a certified Experienced Change Management Practitioner with Prosci Institute, USA.

He is a former Chairman of the Institute of Human Resource Management.
