Cyber Security-Level 6 (Diploma) is run on a Competency Based Education Training (CBET) mode. Emphasis is on learners gaining competencies rather than theoretical grilling. Learners are assessed based on milestone achieved in the process of their training. The course assessment is done by trained industry assessors vetted by ICSSPK and CDACC/TVET.

An individual enrolled in this course will be required to undergo an industrial attachment in a Cyber security firm for a period of at least 480 hours. Attachment will be undertaken upon completion of the course or the unit of learning

Intake, study options and duration

The course takes a period of 11/2 years. The intakes are in January, May and September every year. CHRM study options are designed to meet the needs of various clients, hence; sunrise classes staring from 6:30am to 8:00am, full day classes from 8:00am to 4:00pm, evening classes from 5:30am to 8:00pm and Saturday classes from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

5. Assessment

The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an internal accredited verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET/CDACC.

Course Certification

A candidate will be issued with a Certificate of Competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency. To attain the qualification Cyber security technician Level 6, the candidate must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency as given in qualification pack. These certificates will be issued by TVET CDACC in conjunction with training provider

KCSE C- or its Equivalent, Pass Level 5 of Related Course, any other Equivalent Qualification Determined by KNQA
